Terms

Use the site, take the recommendations as opinions, check anything that matters before you spend money.

What this site is

HomeLab Picker publishes opinionated recommendations and an interactive tool that ranks options against your answers. It is editorial content, not professional advice. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for any company we mention. The site is operated by webshark; contact hello@letterpick.co.

Accuracy

We check our recommendations regularly and correct errors when we find them. Even so, products change, prices move, availability varies by country, and specifications get revised without notice. We state ranges rather than prices for exactly this reason. Verify the details on the seller's own page before purchasing — that page, not ours, is authoritative.

Nothing is sold here

We sell nothing and take no payment. Every purchase happens on Amazon, under Amazon's terms, including its returns and refund policy. Questions about an order, a delivery or a refund go to Amazon or the seller, not to us; we have no access to your order.

Affiliate relationships

HomeLab Picker is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no additional cost to you. Commissions never change what we recommend or the order we recommend it in. Where an option that pays us nothing is the better answer, we say so.

Hardware, power and data

Building and running a home server involves mains electricity, heat, and other people's data. Figures we quote for power draw, noise, capacity and drive endurance are approximate, taken from manufacturer documentation and public reports at the time of writing, and vary by unit and configuration. Follow the manufacturer's instructions, use a qualified electrician for anything beyond plugging into a wall socket, keep backups, and assume used enterprise gear comes with no warranty. The risk of any build is yours.

Liability

The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for purchasing decisions made after reading it or for any loss arising from use of the site. You are buying from a third party under their terms, and any dispute about a purchase is between you and them. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.

Your use of the site

Read it, share it, quote it with a link. Do not scrape it wholesale to republish, and do not present our recommendations as your own. The content is ours; the trademarks mentioned belong to their owners.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms by posting a revised version here with a new date. Corrections, complaints and "you got this wrong" emails are genuinely welcome at hello@letterpick.co.
